Man, woman die in Brooklyn motorcycle crash: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man and a woman were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into the back of a parked vehicle in Brooklyn on Friday, the NYPD said.

The 36-year-old man and his female passenger were traveling north on Rogers Avenue, near Bergen Street in Crown Heights, around 10:30 a.m. when they hit the rear of a parked, unoccupied vehicle, police said.

Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle, the NYPD said. Police said the two may have been hit by a truck after they were thrown to the ground, but could not immediately confirm that.

The woman, whose age wasn’t immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, the NYPD said.

The man and woman’s names weren’t immediately released. An investigation is ongoing.
