NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was hospitalized with a broken face after a stranger punched him in an unprovoked attack near Central Park last week, police said Monday as they released video of the suspect.

The 27-year-old victim was walking on W. 65th Street, less than a block away from Central Park West, on the Upper West Side at 11:10 a.m. Friday when he was approached by his attacker.
The man repeatedly punched him in the right ear in what police described as an unprovoked assault.

The victim was transported to Mount Sinai West in stable condition with multiple facial fractures.
The attacker fled the area on foot, police said. He’s believed to be in his 30s.
