NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One of the world’s largest container ships is expected to float through the New York Harbor next week, according to a report.

The Marco Polo will become “the biggest vessel to ever dock on the East Coast” when it docks at the Elizabeth-Port Authority Marine Terminal in New Jersey on May 20, the Daily News reported.

The ship spans 1,300 feet and is bigger than the Empire State Building, the outlet reported.

While the vessel is no longer the world’s largest container ship, it was when it was christened in 2013, according to the outlet.
