NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Staten Island man who’d been missing for five days was found dead a block away from his home Wednesday night, police said.

Hector Colon, 62, was found dead at Grimsby Street and Bedford Avenue in Midland Beach, just down the block from his listed address at Grimsby Street and Mapleton Avenue, according to police.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call around 8 p.m. discovered Colon unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Colon had been missing since Friday, when he was last seen leaving his home around 1:50 p.m.
The medical examiner will determine his cause of death. Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body.
No criminality is currently suspected in the case as police await the autopsy results, sources told the Staten Island Advance.
Colon had taken medication daily for unspecified health issues and “would have taken a turn for the worse” if he missed doses, the sources said.
