NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force launched an investigation after a monument at a Brooklyn Holocaust Memorial Park was defaced.

According to officials, a permanent black marker was used to draw swastikas on the monument which is located in Sheepshead Bay.
The marker was also used to write curses, and graffiti in Russian, police said.
