NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 15-year-old moped rider was seriously injured after colliding with an MTA bus in Queens on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Officials said the teen struck the left side of an B26 bus at Gates and Seneca Avenues in the Ridgewood section of the borough just before 1 p.m.

The teen was taken to Brookdale University Medical Center.

The bus stayed at the scene and it was taken out of service, according to MTA offcials.

Police had no other details at this time.
