NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman and her teen son repeatedly stabbed each other during a fight inside their Coney Island apartment on Wednesday night, police said.

The assault happened inside their unit at the Coney Island Houses shortly before 9 p.m.
Officers responded to 3028 West 29th St. to find the mom and son with multiple stab wounds.
The 17-year-old boy was taken to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn in stable condition with stab wounds to his face and hands, police said. His 44-year-old mother was taken to the same hospital in critical but stable condition with stab wounds to her head, face and stomach.
Both are in police custody, with charges pending.
It's unclear what caused the bloody assault, but the investigation is ongoing.
