NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An MTA booth worker was injured in an unprovoked attack at a Brooklyn subway station on Sunday morning, police said.

A man struck the employee in the face while on the mezzanine at the Fulton Street and Franklin Avenue stop on the C line at 11:30 a.m., reportedly as she was roping off the turnstile.

Cops said the victim suffered minor bruising and was taken to Brooklyn Hospital. The suspect fled topside in an unknown direction.

Her attacker is believed to be in his 40s and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.

An investigation is ongoing.
