NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn middle school dean was stabbed Monday afternoon while defending a 13-year-old boy after a group of teens jumped him, police said.

The 29-year-old administrator at IS 383 Philippa Schuyler was cut on the arm while trying to break up the fight between the 13-year-old student and the teens outside the Bushwick school on Greene Avenue around 4 p.m., police told the New York Post.

The dean was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The 13-year-old boy was uninjured.

Police and sources told the Post that the teens were not students at the school. They remain at large.

An investigation is ongoing.
