The officer’s partner fired at the fleeing vehicle during the 11:30 p.m. traffic stop in Jamaica, but no one was hit, according to police.

Police said the uniformed officers pulled over the white Subaru SUV with New York plates at Tuskegee Airmen Way and Sutphin Boulevard, but as one of them walked up to the vehicle, the driver hit the gas.

The SUV struck the officer, and his partner fired one shot at the vehicle, according to police.

Surveillance video obtained by WABC shows the officers’ unmarked police car quickly blocking the SUV, which then backs up and speeds off, reportedly sending the officer onto the hood.

The officer was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with a non-life-threatening leg injury.

The driver got away. No arrests were reported as of Thursday.
