NYPD officer, 43, arrested in Bronx on 4th of July for 'unlawful imprisonment' of wife

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 43-year-old off-duty NYPD officer was arrested in the Bronx on the Fourth of July for a domestic incident involving his wife, police said.

White was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and unlawful imprisonment.

Kelvin White was arrested around 11 p.m. within the confines of the 49th Precinct, which covers the borough's northeastern communities of Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens.

Police are still investigating the incident.
