NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for a serial slasher who they believe attacked at least three women in subway trains or stations across Manhattan on Sunday.
The NYPD released surveillance images Monday of the suspect in the assault spree, which stretched from the Upper East Side down to Lower Manhattan.
The first slashing happened around 4:15 p.m. at the 86th Street station on the Lexington Avenue line.

A 19-year-old woman exited a southbound 4 train and was walking up platform stairs to the mezzanine level when a man approached her from behind and slashed her right leg with a sharp object, police said.
Moments after attacking her, the same man went up to a 48-year-old woman who was standing on the southbound 4 platform and slashed her right leg, according to police.

Both victims were transported by EMS to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The man continued his spree downtown, where a 28-year-old woman was attacked around 4:30 p.m. as she was sitting on southbound 4 train approaching the Brooklyn Bridge–City Hall station.
A man came up to her and slashed her left leg with a sharp object, police said. He then fled the train at the City Hall stop.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital, where she was being treated for a severe laceration to her left leg.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
