Police said a 40-year-old man and his 40-year-old wife were driving eastbound on Beach Channel Drive on March 15 around 4:22 p.m. Near the intersection of Beach 69th Street, a silver BMW occupied by two unknown individuals pulled up next to the victim's vehicle.

The duo then accused the man of recording them and engaged in a verbal dispute.

Authorities said the gunman seated in the front passenger seat discharged his gun once at the victim's vehicle, striking the rear driver side door.

The couple made a U-turn and fled eastbound on Beach Channel Drive. No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident, only property damage has been reported.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
