Off-duty NYPD correction officer facing DWI charges after Brooklyn crash

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD correction officer is facing DWI charges after he was arrested early Wednesday morning in Brooklyn, according to authorities.

Yosef Cooper, 40 was taken into custody at approximately 1:30 a.m. after being involved in an accident in front of 625 Meeker Avenue in the Greenpoint neighborhood, the NYPD said.

Cooper's charges include driving while intoxicated, urinating in public, and refusal to take a breath test.

An investigation remains ongoing.
