NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested after he allegedly punched a person in the face during a dispute over a car in Queens, police said.
Robert Benejan, 47, was arrested Friday night in the 106th Precinct.
Police said Benejan was charged with assault after an argument over a parked car turned physical and he punched a civilian in the face.
Police told the Daily News that Benejan believed another man damaged his parked car on Lefferts Boulevard, near JFK Airport, on Thursday afternoon, leading to the confrontation.
Police said an investigation is ongoing.
