NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested Tuesday on Staten Island for sending indecent material to a minor, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
According to officials, 33-year-old Christopher Terranova was arrested just before 10:30 a.m.
Terranova was charged with one count of disseminating indecent material to minor and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was arrested by officers of the 123rd precinct near where he works.
He has been on the force since 2011 and has since been suspended from the department.
No further information was released by police.
