NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 20-year-old New Jersey woman was tasered and arrested after she allegedly barricaded herself with a box cutter inside a car and menaced officers on the Korean War Veterans Parkway on Staten Island Wednesday night.

Diana Prokopenko was pulled over as she drove a Hyundai Genesis near Huguenot Avenue in the Huguenot neighborhood.

It was not immediately clear what led to the traffic stop, but police said she threatened officers at the scene.

Police said the passenger side of the car was eventually opened and officers tasered Prokopenko and took her into custody.

No injuries were reported, according to the Staten Island Advance. Traffic was reportedly backed up for miles as emergency officials responded to the scene.

The 20-year-old is charged with resisting arrest, menacing, obstructing governmental administration and possession of a weapon.
