Police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 179th Place and 110th Avenue in Jamaica, just after 1 a.m., the NYPD said.

A preliminary investigation determined that a 43-year-old man was driving a 2009 Porsche Cayenne and traveling eastbound on 110th Avenue.

He was approaching the intersection of 179th Place when he struck the rear of a parked and unoccupied 1994 Peterbilt 379 tractor-trailer at the location, along the southeast curb line, cops said.

The driver of the Porsche sustained severe trauma to the head and body.

He was rushed by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad.
