NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a pregnant woman was shot on a Bronx street on Monday night, authorities said.
Officials said at about 7:40 p.m., the 35-year-old woman was walking on Grand Concourse near East Fordham Road in Fordham Heights when she was shot once in the left calf.
The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment, an NYPD spokesman said.
A man wearing all black fled the scene, according to police.
No arrests have been made and an investigation remains ongoing.
