Jhanannie Singh, 52, took bonds from her unnamed elderly victim who had purchased them for her grandchildren and other family members.

After her patient died, Singh worked with accomplice Glen Campbell to redeem the bonds.

Between October 2020 and January 2021, law enforcement bought more than 100 savings bonds from Singh and Campbell as part of a sting operation.

Police arrested the duo on January 29, 2021.

Singh faced further charges for attempting to bribe Campbell to lie about their scheme.

She faces up to five years in prison when sentenced on Nov. 28.
