RANDOM SUBWAY ASSAULT: Rider suffers concussion, fractures after man drags him through Brooklyn station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A subway rider was hospitalized with multiple fractures after a man dragged him around a subway station in Brooklyn, police said Thursday as they released video of the suspect.

The 48-year-old victim was in the mezzanine of the Kings Highway station on the border of Midwood and Sheepshead Bay on the night of Jan. 12 when he was targeted in an unprovoked attack around 8:30 p.m., police said.

A man grabbed the victim by his body and “dragged him” into a turnstile, a wall and a MetroCard machine, according to police.

The victim suffered a concussion, as well as a fractured shoulder, wrist and elbow. He also suffered swelling to his face and forehead.

He was transported by EMS to Maimonides Medical Center in an unknown condition.
