A Department of Correction dog alerted officers while smelling Christian Roman, 27, in the main visitor search area of the prison around 3 p.m., according to records obtained by the New York Daily News.

When they investigated further, they found 28 grams of cannabis stuffed into a balloon and wrapped in plastic.

Just two hours later, an officer found 15 grams of marijuana, a half-gram of tobacco and rolling papers in a balloon carried by Kenyatta Handy, 21.

Corrections officers arrested both visitors.
