Stranger stabs man outside Madison Square Garden unprovoked after Rangers Game

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A stranger approached a 25-year-old man outside an Irish bar near Madison Square Garden after a Rangers Game on Friday night and stabbed him in the neck, according to police.

The attack took place outside Féile Irish Pub around 11:10 p.m., authorities said.

EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital. Authorities don’t believe his injuries are life threatening.

The attacker fled after the stabbing. Police arrested someone suspected of the attack who they charged with assault, but the suspect’s identity has not yet been released
