According to police, a 15-year-old male sustained a facial laceration from the slashing at about 1 p.m. at DeWitt Clinton High School.
According to the New York Post, the person responsible was another 15-year-old boy who attacked his victim during a class changeover period.
The attacker pulled out a blade, which apparently avoided the school’s metal detector, and cut his victim on the chin and neck, the report says.
The attack occurred on just the third day of school.
The victim was reportedly taken to a hospital in stable condition, while the suspect ran from the scene and is being looked for by police.
