NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A subway rider was stabbed, spat on and pulled to the ground by her hair in broad daylight at a Long Island City subway station, police said Friday as they released images of the suspect.
The victim, a 23-year-old woman, was waiting on the northbound N-line platform at the 39th Avenue station around 10 a.m. last Saturday when an "irate" woman came up and spat in her face, sparking a fight.
The attacker grabbed the victim by her hair and pulled her to the ground, police said. She then whipped out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the right shoulder.

The suspect, believed to be in her 30s, took off after the attack and was last seen fleeing the station.
The victim was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Queens, where she was listed in stable condition.
