
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A subway rider was randomly attacked on a 4 train in Downtown Brooklyn, leaving him with a fractured nose and broken eyeglasses, police said Friday as they released photos of a suspect.
The 24-year-old victim was on a southbound train approaching the Nevins Street station at 1:10 a.m. on May 1 when a man came up and punched him in the face, according to police.
The stranger pummeled the victim's face until his glasses broke and then walked off the train, police said.
EMS responded and transported the victim to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he was treated for a fractured nose and a cracked sinus bone.
