NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly groped a woman aboard an MTA bus in Brooklyn on Tuesday, authorities said.

Just after 11 a.m., a 20-year-old woman boarded the B82 MTA bus at Kings Highway in Bensonhurst and moved toward the center of the bus where she was able to stand.

As the bus was traveling, in the vicinity of Bay Parkway and Kings Highway, the suspect, who was standing behind the victim forcibly grabbed her buttocks over her clothing, police said.

The victim told the suspect to not touch her, at which point she was able to sit down on a seat, officials said.

The suspect then got off at the Cropsey Avenue and Bay Parkway stop in Bath Beach, while the victim remained on the bus.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
