
EAST HAMPTON, CT (1010 WINS) -- Police in Connecticut arrested a teenager and his grandfather on account of manufacturing ghost guns of AR-15 rifles and handguns.

A concerned citizen contacted the police on Monday when she learned an adult resident was making illegal weapons over the weekend, East Hampton police said.
Ghost guns are privately-made firearms without serial numbers.
Claton Hobby, 18, was identified by investigators as one of the suspects and later found out that his grandfather, Kerry Schunk, 64, helped him. Investigators at the scene also found three ghost gun polymer handguns, around 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and a weapon that was converted into a fully automatic gun.
Both Hobby and Schunk are facing multiple charges. Hobby is charged with possession of an assault weapon, criminal possession of a pistol and ammunition, manufacturing of a machine gun, possession of high capacity magazines, and risk of injury.
He is currently held on a $250,000 bond.
Schunk was charged with conspiracy to commit possession of an assault weapon, conspiracy to commit criminal possession of a pistol, conspiracy to commit criminal possession of ammunition, conspiracy to commit manufacturing of a machine gun, 15 counts of conspiracy to commit possession of high capacity magazines, and interfering with an office.
He is currently held on a $100,000 bond.
