NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl in the Bronx on Friday.
The victim, Angellyh Yambo, was walking home from school near East 156th Street and St. Ann's Avenue in Mott Haven when the shooting occurred, police said.
Two other teens, ages 16 and 17, were also hit by bullets but are expected to survive.
Police arrested Jeremiah Ryan for the shooting and charged him with homicide, attempted homicide and possession of a weapon.
Detectives believe he used a ghost gun to fire six shots, which missed his target. Three of the stray shots struck the three teenagers who were walking a half-block to a block away.

"We have a suspect on the southeast corner of 156th and St. Ann's Avenue gesturing to somebody on the southwest corner of 156th and St. Ann's Avenue," NYPD Chief Christopher McCormack said during a briefing following the incident.
"The gesturing went back and forth, the gentleman on the east side of the street pulls out a firearm and discharges his firearm in a westbound direction," McCormack added.
Yambo was shot in the chest and was later pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital. The other girl was shot in the shin and the boy was hit in his buttocks, he added.
"Sadly, there was a triple shooting of three youth in the Bronx. Details are still coming in, but @NYCMayor has been briefed with the available information," said Fabien Levy, a spokesperson for Mayor Eric Adams.
An investigation remains ongoing.
