Just after 11 a.m., the 18-year-old victim was shot once in the buttocks and once in the back at a building at NYCHA’s Mott Haven Houses located at East 144th Street near Third Avenue in Mott Haven, police said.

The teen was transported to Lincoln Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and was described by officials as uncooperative, authorities said.

The NYPD is investigating the motive for the gunfire.
