Teen stabbed, beaten, robbed near NYC's Museum of Natural History

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 17-year-old boy was stabbed, beaten and robbed in a park near the American Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side last week, police said Thursday.

The victim and another 17-year-old boy were inside Theodore Roosevelt Park at W. 81st Street and Columbus Avenue around 10:50 p.m. last Monday when they were approached by three males, according to police.

The trio punched and kicked the victim repeatedly before stabbing him in the back, police said.

The victim was also robbed during the attack, according to police.

The three assailants then fled the park and hailed a yellow cab to Manhattan’s East Side, police said.

The boy went home after the attack but was later taken to Cornell Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the three suspects on Thursday. They also appear to be teens.
