Teenager stabbed during fight on subway platform

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A teenage girl was stabbed in the back during an early morning dispute in a Manhattan subway station, the New York Post reported.

The fight happened around 5 a.m. on an L train approaching West 14th Street in Chelsea. The 18-year-old was with a group of friends who were fighting with another group, police said.

The teen attempted to get away once the train pulled into the station and the fight spilled onto the platform.

“She was running away from the altercation and was stabbed in the back with an unknown object,” a police spokesman told the Post.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition while the suspect, who's in her 20s, fled the scene.
