VIDEO: Queens thief traps woman in subway turnstile

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man trapped a woman in a full-body subway turnstile this week before snatching her wallet, police said Friday as they released shocking surveillance video of the attack.

The 26-year-old woman was entering the 63rd Drive–Rego Park station around 11:40 a.m. Tuesday when a man grabbed her and pinned her inside of the turnstile.

Video shows the woman struggling to escape the turnstile for at least a minute as the man holds the steel bars.

The man eventually grabbed the woman’s wallet from her hand and fled the station.

The woman was not injured in the harrowing incident, police said.

The suspect remained at large Friday.
