The failed robber went into a Bank of America branch at 350 Fulton Street in Brooklyn Heights just after 10:00 a.m., authorities said.

According to officials, the suspect approached the teller and handed her a note demanding money but the bank employee was able to lock herself in a nearby vault for safety without giving up any cash.

The suspect fled the bank after the teller escaped to the vault. No injuries were reported as a result.
