NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect who tussled with a 73-year-old woman while stealing her purse inside a mall in Brooklyn on Monday, authorities said.
It happened at approximately 4:30 p.m., at Kings Plaza Mall located at 5400 Avenue U located in Mill Basin, as the woman was exiting and was approached from behind by the suspect who attempted to take her shoulder bag, officials said.

After a brief struggle, the robber managed to forcibly remove the bag and fled on foot heading eastbound out of the parking lot to parts unknown.
The victim sustained an injury to her left hand and was treated by EMS on scene.
The stolen bag contained approximately $800 cash and personal ID cards.
The man being sought is described as approximately 20-years-old, 5'8" tall, 180 pounds, with a dark complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing an orange and purple du-rag, sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a pink backpack with designs on the front, gray pants and multi-colored sneakers.
