Tourist critically injured in scooter hit-run on UWS: sources

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A woman from California was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash involving a scooter on the Upper West Side on Friday evening, according to police and sources.

The 66-year-old tourist was walking in a crosswalk at Amsterdam Avenue and W. 64th Street, near Lincoln Center, around 6:30 p.m. when she was struck by the scooter, police said.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was in critical condition, police said.

Citizen App video shows police investigating at the scene. The NYPD was still searching for the scooter driver on Saturday.

Two boys were also critically injured in separate crashes, including a hit-and-run, in Queens on Friday night.
