NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released surveillance footage of a trio of suspects wanted for pointing gun at a 5-year-old boy during a Bronx home invasion robbery earlier this week, authorities said.
The robbery happened at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, inside of an apartment building located in the vicinity of Gates Place and West Gun Hill Road, officials said.
Three suspects waited outside of a 30-year-old woman's apartment until the door was eventually opened.

The three suspects then entered the apartment and displayed a firearm, pointing it at the woman's 5-year-old son and threatening to shoot him unless she gave them money, officials said.
The suspects then pistol whipped the victim's 58-year-old mother and forced the victim into a back bedroom where a safe was located.
The suspects then removed the safe, which contained $40,000.

Two of the suspect fled the location, with the safe, in a gray sedan, while the third suspect fled the location in a dark blue SUV, authorities said.
The 30-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son were not physically injured.
The 58-year-old woman sustained a minor injury and refused medical attention at the scene.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
