NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 44-year-old man was pepper-sprayed after he tried to chase down a man who stole from his car in Brooklyn, police said Tuesday as they released video of the suspect.

According to police, the man entered the victim's car in the vicinity of Glenmore Avenue and Wyona Street on Sept. 8 around 9:13 a.m. Once inside, the man took the victim's wallet, which contained identification documents and around $1,500.
The 44-year-old discovered the individual in his vehicle, resulting in the suspect fleeing with his property.
Cops said that when the victim tried to follow the suspect, the suspect sprayed him with an unknown, noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The suspect fled westbound on Wyona Street to parts unknown.
EMS responded and transported the victim to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in stable condition.
