VIDEO: 7 sought in beating of boy in Brooklyn subway after video of attack posted online

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for a group of suspects in the beating of a boy at a Brooklyn subway station after video of the assault was posted to social media.

The 14-year-old victim was attacked by seven males on the mezzanine of the A/C Van Siclen Avenue station in East New York just before 4 p.m. last Monday, police said Wednesday.

Video posted to social media shows the group beating the victim, who is seen curled up on the floor of the station as he is punched and kicked.

Police said the victim was struck in the head and body multiple times. He suffered swelling and bruising and sought medical attention by private means.

The NYPD released additional surveillance video they said shows the suspects leaving the station.
