VIDEO: Bronx drive-by shooting kills man, police seek gunman in Mercedes

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a black Mercedes-Benz involved in a deadly drive-by shooting in the Bronx over the weekend.

The NYPD released video of the shooting Monday as they search for the sedan and two suspects in Saturday's shooting in Claremont.

Police said a suspect in the Mercedes opened fire on a group of men at E. 174 Street and Clay Avenue just before 7:40 p.m. The second suspect was apparently driving the vehicle.

Video shows multiple people scrambling for cover as the shooter unleashes a hail of bullets from the Mercedes.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the chest, police said. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police later identified him as Joshua Garcia of the Bronx.

The suspects sped off in the Mercedes and were last seen heading southbound on Clay Avenue, according to police.
