NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The NYPD released dramatic bodycam video showing police officers hurrying young children into a Brooklyn elementary school Monday as a homicidal U-Haul driver was rampaging through the streets nearby.

The video, posted to Twitter on Tuesday, shows officers from the 68th Precinct racing to get the kids off the “Play Street” and back inside Bay Ridge Prep at 81st Street and Ridge Boulevard.

“Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go,” an officer says. “Inside, inside. Guys, get off the street. Let’s go. Get off the street. Everybody off the street.”

“Inside the school, inside the school,” the officer says.

Video shows the students scrambling to reach the safety of the school with the help of cops and educators.

Just blocks from the school, a man suffering a “mental health crisis” was carving a path of destruction through the streets, targeting pedestrians in a deadly, 48-minute rampage, police said.

“With a man violently driving a U-Haul truck and striking people just blocks away, these 68th Precinct officers cleared dozens of elementary school children, teachers, and staff from this Brooklyn Playstreet in an effort to save lives,” the NYPD captioned the 30-second bodycam video.

The alleged U-Haul driver, 62-year-old Weng Sor, ultimately didn’t travel down the street, according to WNBC. Grateful parents wondered if the driver passed by the street since no one was on it.

The NYPD released the video amid questions about the department’s response to the rampage, including whether the pursuit — which at one point involved a police car speeding after the U-Haul up onto the sidewalk as a man dove to safety — put more people in harm's way.

NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said Tuesday that the department is reviewing its response.

Sor was charged Tuesday with murder and attempted murder in the rampage, which left one man dead and eight people injured, including a deliveryman who is in a medically induced coma and an NYPD officer who was trying to stop the U-Haul truck.

Sor, who was off his medication at the time, allegedly told police an “invisible object” coming toward the U-Haul truck set him off and sparked the rampage.
