NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for a burglar who they said netted over $120,000 in stolen jewelry and other valuables over the past month by breaking into homes in Queens.
The NYPD released surveillance video Monday showing the suspect casually rummaging through a home near 45th Avenue and 169th Street in East Flushing on the afternoon of Feb. 4.
Police said a 38-year-old woman who lives at the home returned later in the day to find jewelry and other items valued at $1,400 missing.
The NYPD believes it’s one of seven burglaries in which the man forcibly entered homes in East Flushing or Murray Hill and stole or attempted to steal jewelry, electronics and other items.

The first burglary was reported on Jan. 18, while the most recent was last Wednesday afternoon, police said.
All of the burglaries took place in the morning or afternoon, when residents were away, according to police.

In several incidents, the crook triggered an alarm and fled without stealing anything.
But police said he has still managed to net about $121,900 in stolen goods, with his biggest haul being jewelry and electronics worth $80,000 on Jan. 26.
No injuries were reported in the thefts.
