VIDEO: Dad, 6-year-old son robbed at gunpoint after Yankees game; suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A father and his six-year-old son were robbed in their Bronx apartment building as they returned home from a Yankees game this week, police said Wednesday as they released video of a suspect.

The video shows the 40-year-old father and son arriving home around 9 p.m. Monday at their building near Sheridan Avenue and 161st Street in Concourse Village.

A man followed them into the lobby, where he took out a handgun and pointed it at the father and son, police said.

Video shows the gunman cornering the two of them in a darkened hallway as the boy holds a toy baseball bat.

The thief stole $30 from the father before fleeing on foot, according to police. He was last seen headed southbound on Sheridan Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, police said.
