Firefighters used a truck ladder to reach the workers and then secured them with ropes.

They then pulled the workers into the building through a window.

A preliminary investigation suggested a malfunctioning motor may have caused one side of the scaffolding to rise faster than the other, causing the whole platform to collapse, but a more thorough investigation is ongoing, according to ABC 7.

No one was injured by the incident.
