VIDEO: Gunman shoots teen boy, 16, in leg on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released footage on Friday of a suspect captured on video shooting a 16-year old boy on a Brooklyn street last weekend.

Just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, the gunman shot the 16-year-old victim once in his right thigh in front of 1595 Pitkin Avenue in the Brownsville neighborhood, police said.

The suspect fled the scene on foot westbound on Pitkin Avenue, according to officials.

The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting.

The individual is described as a male, black, 16 to 18 years old; last seen wearing a black shirt, yellow shorts and white sneakers.
