NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police are searching for a man who kicked an 89-year-old woman to the ground last week in a random attack in Brooklyn.

The NYPD released video Monday of the disturbing attack in Midwood on Friday morning.
Video shows the woman standing on a sidewalk near Avenue P and East 17th Street just after 7:15 a.m. when the man comes up and kicks her in the back, sending her to the ground.
The man then walks off as the woman lies on the pavement, video shows.
The woman suffered pain and bruising to her body. EMS transported her to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was in stable condition.
Police believe the suspect is between 20 and 30 years old.
