The NYPD released disturbing video of last Monday’s robbery on E. 151st Street, near Courtlandt Avenue, in the Melrose section.

The victim was walking down the street just after 2:30 a.m. when the group of four chased him and pushed him to the ground. They then beat him up and stole his backpack and $300 in cash, police said.

The thieves fled the scene, but they returned moments later and assaulted him again and stole his cellphone, according to police.

Video shows the group chasing the man, tackling him to the ground and surrounding him during the initial theft. They bolt from the area but then double back seconds later as the man is trying to get up, video shows. One of the suspects, who appears to be very young, kicks the man and rummages through his pockets as the others watch on, according to the video.

The suspects were last seen heading eastbound down East 151st Street. Police believe they’re in their teens or early 20s.
