NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — TikTok was no match for this city cop.
Video circulating online this week shows an NYPD officer trying the latest TikTok trend — the Milk Crate Challenge, during which someone attempts to successfully climb and descend a tower of milk crates.
The officer can be seen nearly pulling off the bizarre task, but tumbles off halfway down the crate tower as crowds of teens cheer him on and record from their phones.
The 20-second clip quickly cuts to the cop limping away in defeat.
It’s not clear when or where the clip was filmed.
"We encourage all our officers to engage the community in a positive and proactive manner," an NYPD spokesperson said in a statement.
The challenge has quickly spread on the video-based social media app TikTok, collectively racking up 15 million views.
Doctors have advised against the injury-inducing challenge — and the FDA even weighed in Monday in against the trend after comedian Conan O'Brien jokingly tweeted that he was waiting for FDA approval before attempting a climb.
"Although we regulate milk, we can't recommend you try that," the FDA tweeted. "Perhaps enjoy a nice glass of 2% and return all those crates to the grocery store?"
