NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Disturbing new video from the NYPD shows a man throwing a woman to the ground before punching her and stealing her purse on a Queens street this week.
The 44-year-old woman was standing in front of a building near 35th Avenue and Linden Place in Flushing around 9 p.m. Tuesday when she was attacked, police said.
Video shows a man in a ski mask approaching the woman from behind and throwing her to the ground.
The woman can be seen trying to hold onto her purse as the thief punches and kicks her.
The attacker then rips the purse from the victim’s hands and takes off on foot.
The 44-year-old woman suffered minor injuries, according to police.
The purse contained $132 in cash, police said.
