WEATHER: Record highs possible for NYC Marathon Sunday before temps plummet

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Don't expect to layer up on Sunday because a record-breaking weekend might be set for the 2022 TCS NYC Marathon and another record on Monday before a significant drop.

Ahead of Marathon weekend, expect temperatures to reach the low-to-mid 60s Friday night.

By Saturday, expect mild temps again with near-record warmth, according to Accuweather. A high of 74.

Highs should hit a record-tying 74 with mostly cloudy skies. Unseasonable warmth could impact marathon participants and spectators. Attendees should stay hydrated.

Monday is partly to mostly sunny and warm, with the temperature tying a record from 1938. A high of 78.

However, expect a big shakeup Monday night with a low of 50 and a RealFeel chill of 47.

Tuesday's election day will be nice yet again, with milder temperatures for voters and lots of sunshine. A high of 60.
